Who cares about who can dance and who can't? Seeing Martina Navratilova all glam'd up is priceless!

Yeah, she was the only reason I watched. Glad to see Chrissy Evert in the audience cheering her on, too.

I watched the 2nd half of the show, and was fairly impressed by the quality for the first night. My daughters fell instantly in love with William Levy. The opera chick and Urkel were better than the rest and deserved high marks, but for what I saw, I think the judges each used a three-score range (Bruno & Carrie 7-9, Len 6-DANCING WITH THE STARS .

This is going to be a tough season. I usually pick my favorite the first night, but I could't last night. I was very impressed by most of them. William Levy had me dancing in my seat...I will just leave it at that. DANCING WITH THE STARS

Seeing Chris Evert in the audience for Martina made me tear up...that made the show.

Martina looked beautiful and it was nice to see her smiling so much. She wasn't the best but I bet she will show the most improvement if the producers decide to let her stay. It was really nice that Chris came to support her! I love Gladys Knight and couldn't believe a 67yo could move that well- with a smile on her face the whole time. She even looked younger than Melissa Gilbert-so much to say about that one! The opera singer is absolutely gorgeous and her voice is just wow! Of course that Disney kid would do well- he's a dancer! It's so nice there are NO reality "stars" or kids of infamous people this year!

I agree that if Martina is able to get by for a few weeks, she's likely to out work everyone else and get pretty good. That said, despite the support she's getting on BWW, it's difficult to see where she'll get the votes.

This could be a very good season for DWTS; it was an incredible first night, and the stars came across as very likable.

My 21 year-old daughter read The Hunger Games from start to finish on Monday. The only time she took her eyes off the book was when William Levy was onscreen.

Agree madbrian! Unfortunately, the producers will manipulate the show how they want. Also, unfortunately, I'm not so sure that mid-America appreciates Martina.

I somehow randomly had the awful The Insider on tv today (I actually was napping and it came on after Days of Our Lives lol) and of course they make a big deal about everything, but they went ON and ON about William Levy's "Just Leaked" shocking nude photos and if they'll hurt him. The photos in question have him modelling with a straw hat over his crotch. These photos have been on the internet for *years*. And there are far more revealing ones of him "modelling" mesh thongs where you can see absolutely everything, that they don't mention. (They look kinda ridiculous if you ask me--would anyone actuallyt buy underwear like that even to wear as lingerie or something? LOL) Is this just Insider fake drama or do people actually care? his photos from modelling are hardly a secret to anyone who has seen his telenovela work...

WILLIAM LEVY NAKED?!!!! Oh puh-leeze. There pandering to the gringo audience who didn't know him from a hole in the wall. We latinos were privy to this YEARS AGO. *YAWN*

I'mnot latino, but precisely. They also claimed the photos were taken without him knowing when he was goofing around waiting for body makeup for a more clothed shoot. (...)

Jimmy Conners! Woo hoo! So glad to see him and Pam Shriver in the audience cheering Martina. I hope she stays.

Second week and it's time for Martina to go. Even her costume was dreadful. She looked like Princess Jasmine caught in a fishnet.

Sad. Terribly sad.
