This is truly sad... I hope he fights back hard and overcomes his addiction.

Why was this particular man given an hour of prime time? How many ways can you say "I shouldn't do bad s--t." Sad, or another cheesy barometer of our puerile culture?
Deja vu, it's the summer of 2001, folks.

Posted: 7/20/07 at 11:26amI'm so tired of rich people whining about their problems. He has enough money to get the help he needs. It's like when Fat Oprah used to whine about how fat she was. She had money to hire a chef, a trainer and someone to slap her hand when she reached for a Ho-Ho. There are people out there that have cocaine problems and they are truly desperate because they don't have money to go to Betty Ford and get the help they need.

While I agree with that to some extent, Goth, I've also encountered, in my life, very wealthy people who were so completely self-destructive that it was just plain sad. Yes, they had EVERYTHING...but something inside was still terribly broken. And throwing money at the problem(s) just seemed to make them worse.
That's why I think that, if someday I'm lucky enough to have money, I'd be just fine. Cause I know what it is to find balance and a modicum of happiness being...not poor. But certainly in a tight financial situation.

Having money has nothing to do with having brains. Addiction is addiction. It only makes it easier to get the good stuff. Oprah having a HoHo? Hell, it was the Godiva dipped Macaroons that did her in.
And believe me it was not easy for me to write Oprah and Ho (two times) without feeling a little nervous.)

I dunno, it's just ... just such a boring first step.
Now Anderson Cooper saying "I AM POWERLESS OVER DANIEL BALDWIN" would be newsworthy.

Cocaine's so expensive, it could make a rich person lose all of his/her money, depending on the habit.
And, Sueleen's right: addiction is addiction.

Posted: 7/20/07 at 2:19pmI knew you'd like it. As much of an Alec boy as I am, I still can't get the image of Billy, buck naked, coming on...uh...up behind Sharon Stone in that cinematic masterpiece SLIVER.

Which one was the fireman in the Ron Howard hook n'ladder party movie? The born-again?
Listen to me, I sound like Alicia Silverstone in CLUELESS.

That would be Stephen "THREESOME" Baldwin. He's now disavowed that movie.
A friend was at a party that Stephen attended. Apparently, he played pool by himself with a (and I quote) "mountain of coke" handy. And he wasn't sharing.
Runs in the fam, I guess.
