It made me happy to see how many kids latched on at my school. It wasn't a pre planned event(the junior high doesn't have a GSA) so no one knew about it. I brought some extra speaking cards with me just in case. I wasn't really expecting anything though. But as soon as people got what it was about they all asked for cards. I had to copy down more during first hour! It was awesome!

I left sick from school today, I wish I could have been there to see if anyone participated since this is my first time even hearing about this.

I pretty much organized my school's Day of Silence this year, and I must say, I LOVE our school. We have such an accepting community there. Almost all of the teachers were wearing stickers in support of the day, and some went out of their way to make sure that students who were participating weren't required to talk. We get more and more people participating every year, which is fabulous!

Congratulations to all of you who succeeded today! I'm proud of you all! lol. But seriously, this is really important to me, and I'm glad it seems to be having some effect.

I am. Failed to see this post - sorry about mine before.

I gave a friend one of the "speaking cards" this morning and she decided to join me. Glad to make my "voice" heard.

i'm not beacuse if i did my grandmother would probably think i was mad at her or something lol

no one in my town is really doing it this year because this week is school vacation.
