Oh no! I'm so smart! I knew "this board" would love that speech. Like you could ever get an "objective look" at anything from the Democrat Convention on :"this board!" Because, you know, "this board" is a place where people just come and share their OPINIONS. And "this board" only has one opinion. Did you get a chubby when Biden elevated a kid with a stutter instead of making fun of him to his face? Oh so predictable. Pictures of the young Biden ALWAYS give me a chubby. Pictures of Daddy Biden make me swoon. Also, the sons. May one Rest In Peace. Also, the Black Sheep, Hunter Biden, who will be the biggest topic at the RNC, looked so hot with a beard in the New Yorker profile months and months ago.

I have been watching Democratic National Conventions for many years. The most memorable one for me was 1960, which introduced me to Jackie Kennedy. Now, I will forever remember the 2020 Convention because of this brave boy.

There were aspects of the "Virtual Convention" that were very effective. I hope that the "Roll Call Across America" is repeated in this format for the next Convention (when President Joe Biden is nominated for a second term).

I think they should never, ever, ever do a cheering-on-every-other-line audience wearing funny hats or balloon drops ever again. They should actually calculate total expenses for putting on a convention and channel it to poverty-related charities, keep track of the low carbon footprint, and show so many parts of the country and delegates in their home states. More America, less host city focus. Take everything that worked (which was pretty much everything) and build on that.
The Republicans will not be pulling off a decent copy of this week, next week.

I liked the whole parking lot with fireworks idea. It was kind of charming. Trump basically has said he does not want taped speeches next week... I will be interested to see is how organized everything is since his administration is so chaotic....
