Dentists in NYC

Can anyone reccomend a good "gentle dentist" in NYC? I've got this wisdom tooth that's killing me and needs to come out ASAP and I've never used a dentist in the city. Any help is greatly appreciated if you could message me and give me names etc.

since no one has answered try 1-800-dentist, when I have moved to other cities I have always used them, and have ended up with wonderful dentists....they are 24/7

now....to everyone out there........GO to the dentist regularly, brush and FLOSS......take it from me, who did not go to the dentist from 1995 to 1999 9AND paid for it)........you want to go regularly!

Bumping- anyone have any dentist suggestions in the midtown area? (I am looking for someone close to work). I had a horrible experience with my 'assigned' dentist this morning, and so now thanks to the awesome Blue Cross HMO rules I need to pick someone new by *tomorrow,* in order to be able to see a different dentist come May 1st. I am taking any and all suggestions!

I found mine through Metro Source, a quarterly glossy guide aimed at a gay readership. Its few around town and usually has a good looking man on the cover. There is a business directory in every issue.

I tried finding my doctor through MS, but have had no luck...I reported the last one to my ins. co.

Now I have no primary care doc.

Any suggestions there?

What a coincidence-I just got home from having a tooth pulled. I'm in a lot of pain, but I do recommend my dentist. I"ve been with him for around 25 years and wouldn't go to anyone else. I"ll pm you his name.

For a wisdom tooth, you need to go to a restorative dentist.

A regular dentist only does cleaning and the like.

My dentist doesn't do cleaning-there's another person in his office to do that stuff. My dentist does-root canals, cavities, restorative/cosmetic, extractions, anything. He isn't a periodontist though.

In exchange, I have both a dr and also a dermatologist who I really like, if anyone is ever looking for suggestions. :)
