According to E! on-line, R & B supergroup Destiny's Child announced during a concert on Saturday that they will go their seperate ways after their current Destiny Fufilled tour.
I guess that makes Beyonce's casting in the Dreamgirls movie is pretty appropriate since she seems do be having a Diana Ross complex.
And which goes to show you that many of you know nothing about Beyoncé or Destiny's Child.
Please stick to what you know. Destiny's Child is a family act. Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are cousins. Their manager is Beyoncé's father Matthew. The decision to go their seperate ways was already planned. Hence the title of their latest album "Destiny FULFILLED". All three girls have already embarked on solo projects prior to recording this last album and prior to breaking up.
I guess that throws your Diana Ross Complex Theory out the proverbial window.
There is no rift within the group it is a mutual decision by all parties involved. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Better it be while the group is still on top.
"I don't really see the concept of DC because all you ever hear is Beyonce... so what's the point?
Which goes to show you that you haven't purchased or bothered to listen to their latest album. If you had you wouldn't have bothered posting what is so obviously an ignorant statement.
I'm sorry Marquise, I put that in the wrong words. But more on the chorus all ou can generally hear is Beyonce. I do know that Kelly and Michelle do have their solos in the verses but the voice that generally stands out in the choruses is obviously Beyonce's.
A break... once again, bad wording. I understand they embarked on solo projects.
Marquise- Breathe, breathe... It's not the end of the world.
And I own Destiny's Child's CDs, but I do have to agree with the comment about only hearing Beyoncé. Sure, on the albums you can hear everyone. But when it comes to the singles and the videos, the stuff that is released into the general public, the stuff that everyone hears, even those who don't own any DC albums, Beyoncé is usually at the forefront, whether it's with the lead vocals or the most close-ups in a video. I love Destiny's Child and I love Beyoncé, but I do wish that the spotlight was focused on the group as whole, rather than "Beyoncé and the other two."
I'm sure that it's done on purpose. The general public recognizes Beyoncé more than Kelly or Michelle, so they have to make sure that Beyoncé is seen. It's just a fact of PR and advertising.
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you.
Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.
The above posts were not made because I was actually in an uproar. They were written to prove a point. Alot of people here tend to post based on misguided notions and information, passing it off a sfact and with a general "i-know-it-all-attitude". I used this thread as the perfect example. People will respect your opinions more if you bring them forth with a little more credibility.
I'm gonna insert [*does "Crazy In Love" dance*] here, because only in cyberland can an Asian do that fantastic booty dance without looking like a damn fool.
And yeah, I know it's not a DC song, but I'm listening to it right now. I haven't picked up Destiny Fulfilled yet, I have to admit. Same with Mariah's new one. I've got some shopping to do.
"It's not always about you!!!" (But if you think I'm referring to you anyway, then I probably am.)

These are my favorite kinds of threads because I wouldn't know a Destiny's Child song if it bit me on the butt. I don't know anything about them, individually or together. The only time I've seen the 'Bouncy' chick is when she sang every song at the Oscars. It's fun to watch people get so worked up about something that doesn't haven't anything to do with the real world as you experience it.
Rath - please! There's many people who frequent this SITE that don't know anything about what's posted on the main board. And we won't get into the ignorance exhibited in this forum.
