I thought Keaton was really fantastic in SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE and I was hoping she'd win the Oscar last night.

At the Golden Globes and in the photo section of yesterday's NYT Sunday magazine, she didn't do the Annie Hall stuff.

It's not that I don't think she ever looked good in the outfilt, I just don't think it's as effective now. I just think she looks much better in the more upscale skirts and blouses. I think she's a pretty good actress, but not in the same league with someone like Katherine Hepburn. My favorite role she played was in Crimes of the Heart, but I guess I get tired of seeing her scream and shake her hair around.

Ever since Looking for Mr. Goodbar, my father refuses to see any movie she makes. I think she's the only actress he can't tolerate. He thinks she's completely insane.

I also think she's completely insane; but that's what I like about her. :)

No wonder no one ever asked her to marry them!

What would she wear for the walk down the aisle?

A kagoul, a pork pie hat and ski pants?

It would be hard to pick worst dressed, since everyone looked the same (gray or gunmetal gowns, 30's hair, etc.) I'd have to go with Diane Keaton as worst. Her decades-old Annie Hall look is more than tired.

Wait until Joan Rivers does the Fashion Police. She is really going to give Diane Keaton the business. Most of the actresses were absolutely stunning. Catherine Zetas Jones, Jula Roberts, Charlize Theron, Liv Tyler, Micole Kidman, Holly Hunter, Oprah Wimphrey etc. I really believe that most of them looked like real movies stars. But, I am sorry guys, Diane Keaton looked ridiculous.

Liv Tyler?????
She is stunning but no way to tell this year. Who did her hair-
the hairstylist from HELL.
OY
Diane does not want to look like everyone else. I give her credit.
Wear what makes you comfortable. My new look is suits with french cuffed blouses, that is what makes me feel sexy.
If dressing like that makes her feel sexy that is great.
She looked cute.

The Oscars should do what the Golden Globes do. Break acting catergories into drama & musical/comedy. This way Keaton would have won

I agree with that. How can you possibly say that one actor or actress is better than another when their movie roles are so completely different. And you know what, I find that Comedy is more difficult to play than Drama sometimes.

I adore Diane Keaton. I haven't seen Something's Gotta Give yet, but I really want to before it leaves theaters.

I loved the movie Annie Hall. And I may have loved it even more when I found out that Ms. Keaton's nickname is "Annie" and that her real last name isn't "Keaton", at all, it's "Hall".
