Let's hear it for Kay Hagan, who threw a pail of water on that wicked old b*tch!

PJ--you beat me to the draw bro.
Can you believe that very soon there will be no member of the Bush or Dole dynasty in elected office at the national or state level?
It's too good to be f*ckin' true!
Now, if the Floridians would just send los hermanos Diaz-Balart packin' it will be a hat-trick.
Now, we just need someone to drop a house on Michelle Bachmann.

That is great news.
Thank God!
YAAAAAAY!
In a related story, wingnut Marilyn Musgrave is also gone. By a big margin. Hooray!
I saw this last night!
YEAH!!!!!!
I was hoping Bachmann would go down too, but she did get bitchslapped, so that's something.
And it looks like Stevens will win re-election to the Senate up in Alaska, although it's very close.

bri, can't Palin appoint herself Senator in his stead if she wishes?
I feel stupid for not knowing this, but what happens to Obama and Biden's senate seats?

Stevens will be a different situation. If he wins, he will be kicked out after he is censured. Then the state will have to hold a special election. She can run and win and then have 3 years as a US Senator before she runs for president in 2012.
Kay Hagan AND Bev Perdue? The old North state looks GORGEOUS in blue!

Most likely, Obama's senate seat will go to Jesse Jackson Jr. (my representative). Otherwise, there would be NO African-Americans in the senate.
Illinois Governor Blagojevich currently has the lowest approval rating in the history of approval rating polls int he Chicago Tribune. His choice of obama's replacement will be crucial to his political future.
Biden's seat could go to his son Beau, who is Delaware Attorney General, and currenly in Iraq with the National Guard.
Seeing Hagan win was spectacular.
Dole ran just a horrendous campaign, especially the now infamous "Godless" ad. I donated to Hagan's campaign the minute after I saw it.
For the first time since 1952, not a Bush or a Dole will be in elected office! Change has come!
