Disney Misses a Trick

Disney Misses a Trick

So now that Disney has a nation of millions addicted to High School Musical, why don't they dust off Newsies and tie the two together somehow? Newsies is better all around, so it probably won't be quite as popular, but it would certainly appeal to any kid who likes HSM.

In fact, I think I'll get copies for my neices for Christmas so that next Thanksgiving I can watch them recreate the choreography for "Seize the Day" instead of watching them "Bop to the Top" for the gazillionth time.

So Disney, run Newsies & HSM back to back a couple times. Give the kids something new to obsess about.

actually -- not a half bad idea - considering the absolute crapfest that is High School Musical!

What do you mean "forced"? You could've said no, but instead you gave in. Either way, it was a choice. YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM!!!

They actaully should do that! My Musical Theater class did Newsies last year and it was really fun! The only sad thing is that my school musical is High School Musical! Ew. It's important for kids to know that there are other musicals then High School Musical.

Just because I got the lead doesn't mean you can't be my understudy!:)

I hope that HSM is like marajuana - a gateway musical.
