Posted: 1/20/06 at 10:55pmI don't think I could come up with things to say. I could imagine pretending to talk on my phone so people won't try to talk to me, but to make myself look important? Wha? More like obnoxious, especially if it's in a restaurant or a bus or something.

When people first meet others, they often tell lies to make themselves look better. They showed this one guy who told a girl he was a lead singer in a rock band. It was a total lie. Hence the fake talking on the phone.

LOL. I actually have seen people who come into the theatre while talking on the phone, but I can tell there's no one on the other end. I think there's a certain cache to be seen walking in while on the phone.

I do this!! In fact, I did it today. I saw a teacher I didn't like as I was walking to another class and I fumbled to get my phone as though it was ringing and had a whole conversation with a person I pretended not to hear from in a while.
Also, when I walk out of class late at night, I often call 'real people' but if I don't, I just talk to the non-existant person on the other end.

I haven't done it recently, but when I was younger I did it all the time to make myself look cool...I would talk to my non-existent boyfriend a lot. It was depressing.
