Honestly I was afraid when I met my BWW I wouldn't have anything to say
Then I met luvtheEmcee and we both started right of being instant chatterboxes and got along so well that even her friends were shocked to realize that was the first time we met in person re: Do bww folk seem different when you meet them in person?

I've met BWW people dozens of times, and it's amazing. I remember when I met star2b, and etheb was with me. She asked me later if that was the first time we'd met, and was so shocked that the answer was yes. She said it was like we'd known each other for years.

It really isn't awkward at all, and this is coming from someone who's really shy, and terribly socially awkward. I mean, these are people you've been talking to for months, probably, and also probably know pretty well. I find that you pick up just where you left off on your last online conversation. It's such a blast.

Priest is taller (6'2") than you'd probably guess from his headshot, but looks as cute and is just as smart and sweet as you'd expect.

there are bww people that literally live within 10 blocks of me. but ive never met him. im just really shy and a nervous, low self esteemed person..

In most cases, I would think a lot of us would be similar, for me personally, like I went to the get together and it was really weird for me just because I'm very outgoing these days but still big groups just really intimidate me and I become very shy.

But otherwise, I met Mistress who is certainly the same in person hehe, and Emcee who is just as sweet in person too, and will be working on meeting a couple other people, but yeah as long as it's not a big group from me, you do feel like you've known the person awhile, so it's all good.

P.S. I'm shorter in person.

I'm me. What you 'see' is what you get.

I have found that the people I meet in real life are even more wonderful than they are 'in print'. I don't rush into meetings, but so far I have been lucky...

Yep, I'm with Addy. What you see is what you get.

I'm silly, bouncy and utterly ridiculous. I love to laugh, and I type *exactly* the way that I speak. Nothing to hide.

oh my -- the musical of BWW -- and I was Nathan Lane...so for those of you who really know me...true or not...

I agree with Addy -- I have met some terrific poele from BWW who I am proud to call my friends -- I find they are the same online as they are "off"

Meeting people really isn't that awkward...I've met a few people, and Emcee is right...you really do just pick up where you left off (for emcee and i, it was adam and raul!)....

And in person, Im shy at first, but later, oy!
awkward.

I remember Emcee and I talked about Adam's last night and then we walked over to the Palace so I could say goodbye to the theatre

Sadly, it was cancelled after only four episodes, but you can buy the show on DVD, featuring all 13 episodes! Oh, and Tracie Thoms is in the show, too. I didn't know who the actress was when I started watching. She's really funny!

I'm terribly closety, shy and socially awkward when you meet me.

I am really terrible at meeting people.

But once you get to know me I'm loud, obnoxious and over-bearing.

I always do better meeting people when my friends are around. That loosens me up no end...

Actually, I had two people come up to me at Spamalot asking if I'm "TVBoy." That was kind of... weird... but it was nice to meet them. :)
