I saw a shirt that says "Manatees are nature's speed bumps," down in Florida.

I grew up in South Florida. The damage done to manatees from outboard motors was truly terrible to see!

That is why, Kad, I don't find the T-shirt remotely funny. (Which was your question. I'm not blaming you for asking.)

Since I grew up where manatees were a daily sight, I also don't get the joke of this thread. Would somebody like to explain it?

He signed mine. I had to blackmail him though and corner him. It was my 6th attempt, but it was okay. His daughter took a picture for me. But, he still was a C U next Tuesday anyway. I told everyone on Facebook, but I was still glad to have gotten him to sign for me and take a picture with me.

I've hated them ever since my brother married one. first off, I had no idea it was legal- but they did it. Second, we had to have the wedding AND the reception in the water because HER side of the family had to be in water or the old ones would die ( or So the mother of the bride claimed, frankly I think it was just so we could not have the wedding at our church). It was murder on HIS (and my) side of the family- everyone left wrinkled and outfits ruined. And don't even get me started on their children- ugly is being nice.

I once had a manatee tumor in my neck. It took Tony Curtis, a shaman, and a LOT of wacky hi-jinx to get rid of it!
