Mamie, you can switch names but not have 2 at the same time. Not that that stops anyone.

Posted: 1/6/06 at 2:09ami don't get tired of mine because it's less confusing to use 1 screen name for everything. that way i don't forget what my sn is or the password for that sn. i like to keep things simple

Yeah. Seemed like a good idea at the time, but I'm more than a little sick of it now. Everyone assumes I'm either a woman, a drag queen, or -- oddly, to me -- an old Jewish show queen (I've heard this repeatedly).
Too late to change I suppose at this point. Whatever.

Interestingly, Margo, I think your name suits you completely.
And I've met you

I would like to hope that everyone knows ally (not to be mistaken of course, for 'allie'- who also lurks on this message board...but as a legend) as myself...which is my avatar.

Posted: 1/6/06 at 3:09amYes, because when I signed up in 2004 I had no idea that people chose their usernames in creative Broadway related ways. I just stuck with eslgr8 (because I'm an ESL teacher and I'd like to think that I have my gr8 moments) which I use all over the place. I wish I had picked something else, in retrospect.

For the longest time I thought you were a grade 8 ESL student!
Do I ever tire of my username...well if one more person says to me, "What do you mean 'Type a Tiff'?" I may impale my head on a railway spike. Psychology term, people!!

Margo - well, yes, now that you mention it.
BUT, I'd pick Margo in a fight over Addison any day - as I would you.

There, I fixed it.

My name is easy to remember and I've had it for almost 27 years. The creative spelling makes it unique (but harder to pronounce if you've never seen it before).
The only regret is that I can't badmouth people or say anything negative, because everyone knows who I am (and I will get called out on it, trust me). Not like I would do that anyway :)

Posted: 1/6/06 at 6:50amWell, to be honest, "Spiderdj82" is actually my second name on this website. When I first joined, I was under the name "phantomofrent" but for reasons I don't want to go into right now, I changed it. But, I actually like my name now so I don't think I would change it.
#39re: Do you ever get tired of your username?
Posted: 1/6/06 at 6:57amEhh, I like it. But I wish I had been more creative...more than a few people have a some sort of variation on my username.

Posted: 1/6/06 at 9:11amMine is so generic. It's boring, but it's my hobby and it's easy to remember. It could mean versatile broadway player, but volleyball player suits me better.

Posted: 1/6/06 at 9:55amha ha ha ... glad to put your mind at ease, Mamie! btw, I think "Mamie" is a very pretty name. Some of the Hollywood celebs having babies should maybe think about a name like that for a girl instead of some of the ones they come up with ... heck, it'd even be a better name for a baby boy than some of the ones they come up with. lol

Posted: 1/6/06 at 11:50amWhen I joined, I didn't realize it was a bad idea to associate yourself so strongly with a show...and I didn't think about how long i'd be stuck with this name. oh well

Yup - I made this account to ask opinions on what show I should see, and ended up loving this site.
So I guess I'm stuck with this name.
Thank goodness for signatures!
I remember days
Or at least I try
But as years go by
They're sort of haze
And the bluest ink
Isn't really sky
And at times I think
I would gladly die
For a day of sky

Mine is one I've had for awhile on the internet and is because of a television project I was connected with a couple of years ago.
I wish it were something else--but if I change it now how will Mister Wilson ever find me???

Posted: 1/6/06 at 11:58amI thought I'd get tired of mine, but this has continued to be my favorite Sondheim song from one of my favorite shows for so long that there's no way I get tired of it.

Mine is derived from a Chris Isaak song "Except the New Girl". It was originally my yahoo name, but since "newgirl" was taken, I added the x's all innocently.
Of course, everyone assumes it's porn.
