This was a rare episode this season that I didn't just adore. I didn't hate it, but I can't get past the fact that I think Annie having a brother is some major retcon. I think this a show that stays fairly consistent but I'm like 99% certain that Annie has never mentioned siblings and that in Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas she implied (or flat out says?) that it was just her and her mom. No younger brother. So that just BUGGED me.
I liked the other story better. I'm happy that Shirley has been front and center as the season winds down, and she's been doing some wonderful stuff. Her delivery of "What happened to our home?" in Repilot and "What have you brought to my door?" from the Hot Lava episode are two of my favorite deliveries of hers ever.
Also, the Dean's rap! "I don't know what that was!"
I'm sorry, but last night's episode was AWFUL. Uninspired and just painfully boring.

I didn't think it was awful, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as the first D&D episode. And I thought the ending was a rip-off of Pillows and Blankets.
Agreed. It had some laugh out loud moments but overall no where near as good as the first one. But I'll still take it.

I had feeling this was going to happen when Chris McKenna tweeted it was dead the other day. Maybe there's a chance someone else will pick it up? Stranger things have happened with this show, but yeah, this is heartbreaking.
I can't really say this is all that surprising. Still, this one hurts more than most cancellations do. It was always the little show that could and somehow made it a lot further than most low-rated series.
I'm just glad that Harmon got to return for one final season. Also really happy we'll always have those perfect 97 episodes (well, 84 perfect episodes and a Gas Leak Year), MeowMeowBeenz, Troy and Abed in the Morning (...Nights), and all other such Greendale shenanigans.

Does this mean an asteroid hit the earth and everyone in the world of Community is dead?
There's so much talk today about any number of the online services (Netflix, hulu, etc) picking this show up because of it's huge fan base, that I have real hope that it's not over yet and could go on for much longer than we expected.

I'm trying to remain optimistic. I just don't want to get my hopes too high. I did wish Dan Harmon back on the show, so maybe you can wish it onto Netflix or Crackle or whatever tv. What would a season cost? Can we Kickstarter it?
lol. God, I wish Netflix would pick this up. Imagine if they could do this show with no censors at all.

DEAR WORLD WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO MAKE COMMUNITY NOT BE OVER
Here's a lengthy article about the series finale.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but there is talk for Hulu to pick it up. I will keep hoping for all of you since I am still not over the cancellation of some shows I liked.

I actually had the opportunity to speak to Joel McHale about this and he said that the cast is all pretty hopeful that they're going to get picked up by someone else. So the fact that they're all not moving on just yet says a lot and gives me a ton of hope.

I hope hulu is truly a fat dog here.
