Posted: 10/18/05 at 7:59pmTrust me you are NOT the Pee Wee Herman type. You know what? I think I agree with DGrant now..you're trying to come up with reasons. The problem maybe is the confidence you have in yourself. Like the whole thing with singing infront of your parents and in general, remember? You need to have more faith in yourself!

Dude. You have a girl giving you a romance pep talk by singing "I'm the bravest individual" to you.
You.
Are.
SO.
Gay.
Trust me on this one.

And Sally, hon, unless you want to grow up to be Auntie Corine -- not that there's anything wrong with that -- you should probably not spend any more time assuring young gay boys that they aren't gay because "they aren't ready to face that yet," and allow your romantic fantasies to run wild until the day they finally DO come out to you and with tears welling up in your eyes you say, "Of course, I knew the whole time! I'm so glad you found a boyfriend, we can all go dancing!" right before you head home and consume two gallons of ice cream and take to your bed for three days.
Trust me on that one.

Posted: 10/18/05 at 9:15pmIf I'm so gay, then why did I consider Patrick Swayze the perfect man when I was 14?

Posted: 10/18/05 at 9:16pmBecause you were young and naive..it's okay. Just find someone to get me pregnant and promise me you'll help me raise the baby.

Posted: 10/18/05 at 9:17pmAnd the problem with that movie is it was based on an excellent novel about a gay man and his female best friend. Wendy Wasserstein turned it into a movie about a straight woman and her gay best friend. Which is not the point of view that story needs to be told from. If you want to find out what's it's really like to be a Nina to a real life George, go and get Stephen McCauley's fantastic debut novel, "The Object of My Affection." Find out what the story was like before the fag hag got her fingers on it! (Said with love, Wendy! winky face)
