Doing The Mambos/Hangover Cures

Last night Nina attended a little soiree at the Maritime with Papa and Mrs Mambo as her guests. What an extreme pleasure it was to spend an evening partying with this fascinating couple. My first face to face meeting with someone from this board (not counting those who I may have known before joining)turned out to be a wild and exhausting night.
I am quite hung over this morning and can't figure out why I'm not able to sleep late. Who here has a sure fire cure for a hangover?
Zola, pumpkin, help me out here. I know you must have some ideas.

As a professional lush, La Diva highly recommends that you fix yourself a nice glass of warm lemon water (or chamomile with lemon, if you can stand chamomile), take a very hot shower, and lie with a cool gel mask over your eyes for 15 minutes. You'll feel fabulous...and if that doesn't work, drink a bottle of Bolly and say to hell with it.
kisses...

Posted: 8/9/04 at 9:51amNina, baby, you should come right to the source of all cures. That would be me. There is a product out called Vivarex and it is a miracle. A little fizzy (not so unpleasant tasting) powder in a glass of cold water and presto chango, you're all cured from hangover blahs.

nina, my darling, a thousand thanks for the invite last night. mrs. mambo was so excited that the thrills of the night almost outweighed her hangover this morning, but not quite. i came this close to calling in sick today.
like i told you last night, dearie, water and aspirin before bed. but after how you and mrs. mambo listened to my ideas all night why should i be surprised? did i give "mr. it's a done deal" my contact info? if not, let me know because he was sure interested in those little tales.
i have to tell you all, that while papalovesmambo, it seems that nina lives to mambo. what a fabulous night, what a swell party, well did you evah? ooooo, my head!

Papa, you are such an amateur. Who wants to gulp down the gallons of water necessary to rehydrate after a night of imbibing? NO ONE. That's the answer.
You need chemical help the next morning. Simple as that. I believe in drugs.

"That Papa, always slipping things into drinks whilst you're off to the ladies loo."
Yes, you really do need to take precautions with Papa. He's sneaky. Thank God the Mrs was there to keep him somewhat in line.
I think I'll run out to get some Vivarex and try the chamomile with lemon. I've never heard of that as a hangover cure but, I do use it for the throat and voice along with slippery elm tea.
Luckily, my hang overs don't norm, ally last long. Not sure what that says about my alcohol tolerance.
Papa, maybe next time we'll bring Zola and Boobs with us. We'll make it a real party.

Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:24amI'm there...I love to mambo amongst other things. I've met Papa before and had a lovely evening with him, so I'd love to meet Mrs.Mambo this time. Zola is going to be a pleasure meeting.

BWBoobs, had I known that you had met Papa before, I would have invited you. Nina feels more comfortable giving up her anonymity to someone who is known to a trusted person. You would probably love Mrs Mambo. She's a doll.
I think papa didn't mention it becasue he wanted me to himself.
However, he does have a tendency to disappear and leave Nina and the Mrs alone when a cute chorus girl walks by.

Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:37amBut only hot chorus girls with Republican voter-registration cards. Papa has standards!

Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:38amNina, I'm a little bit afraid that if we meet I might never go back to men again.
#14re: doing the mambos/hangover cures
Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:42amPumpkin, I think I can say with some amount of surity that Papa's standards are not always as high as you may think. Except of course in his choice of spouse and in going out with me. Updated On: 8/9/04 at 10:42 AM
#15re: doing the mambos/hangover cures
Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:45amThen maybe I still stand a chance with Papa after all. He makes me all moist. Just ask him.

Posted: 8/9/04 at 10:45amZola, the siren song is alluring but, alas, not enough to keep you away from the love starved boys forever. A week, two tops. That's it.

Sh*t.
I shoulda taken Richie Rich up on his offer to come to his little soiree. I would have met the reclusive Nina!
Damn.

somms, please, a republican chorus girl? that's as rare as a straight chorus boy.
i don't deny anyone attention and affection based on politics, life is just too short and there are way too many gorgeous dems as this board proves!
zola, i usually would agree that better liveing through chemistry is a hallmark of an advanced culture, but it's the traditionalist in me that sticks to the old ways. remember, i am a conservative. but i did call mrs. mambo and pass the tip along so that she could make it through her day. she takes these things so much harder than me.
and please, nina, you and mrs. mambo were like peas in a pod. i felt like a third wheel sometimes. but thanks for making her feel so welcome, she's naturally leery of my friends with good reason, but she just loves ya!

Robbiej blew it. How could you have turned down the that invite?
I would love to have met you. Of course, we may not have even known we were meeting unless BWW.com came up in the conversation. I tend not to mention it unless I discover that someone I'm meeting is a member with whom I have enjoyed talking online. I'm far from reclusive. I just like to maintain the sense of mystery.

Hmm, I saw Amanda Lepore last night...somehow, I think Papa had it better with La Nina.

Amanda is a goddess!
From another planet perhaps, but a goddess none-the-less.
Nina...let me know next time you go...I'll show up with my boy and we can lift a few.

As much as I love milkshakes, they have way too many calories. The hangover is gone anyway.
Robbiej, I will let you know.
