Now that she is an "adult" and because Tom in his wisdom has decided that Katie is a little girls name - the couple have had her name changed legally to Kate. Oh brother....
I am not a Katie.

My grandmother just turned 85 and people still call her Katie. It has nothing to do with being a mother, a grandmother, an adult- it's her name.

You mean you can just ask anyone to be an Uncle? I thought you had to be related to be a "real" uncle. This whole marriage is going to collapse in about two years (if not sooner) and there will be a really ugly custody battle over the child. (Unless they just give it back to the real parents).

P.S. I love these Tom and Katie (sorry Kate) bashing threads. (I'm an awful person).

It's just disgusting how much control he has over her. HIM -- a pipsqueak hobbit. KatE obviously never heard of women's lib. Maybe she has, but he had it erased along with the rest of her memory.

P.S. maybe we shouldn't be calling her "Mommy" either. Tom would probably prefer 'Mother.'

As far as "uncles," I have children who call me "aunt" even though I'm not a blood relative but a family friend. It's not an uncommon thing - just a sign of respect and affection. However, who knew you had to ask the person, or announce it to the press? It's just gross that he has to make such a big friggin' international announcement about everything that happens in his personal life. We don't really care who your kid calls "uncle."

Maybe Katie-Kate is receiving a weekly stipend to put up with this crap. I did hear she accepted a ton of money to even be his girlfriend when it all started. Either she's making millions or she's really stupid.
