To start the new year comes the news that Donna Douglas a/k/a Elly May Clampett of The Beverly Hillbillies has died @ 81. She died of pancreatic cancer

She had one role but it was a role she was identified with for her entire life

R.I.P.

And she has 38 acting credits on IMDB which if my math is correct, is just slightly more than "one role".

She also had one really iconic moment in TV history. She was in,seen for the last few minutes, the Twilight Zone episode " Eye Of The Beholder".

Actually she had a lot of tv roles in the early sixties before landing Beverly Hillbillies. Let us not let facts disrupt Roxy's World.

Okay, so she was on THE TWILIGHT ZONE, co-starred with The King in a feature film and of course was critter lovin' Elly May Clampett on THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES - - - her one role that she was identified with her entire life.

In his defense I think what Roxy was trying to say is that she played one role that she was identified with her entire life not that she only played one role in her entire career.

May she R.I.P. she brought a sweetness to her role as "Elly May" that always rang true.
