She sounds lovely! Considering she'll be ninety in April, it's pretty astonishing how youthful her voice still is. Deeper, but with the same warmth and control. Love her.

Loved Doris in the prime of her career and still do. Her movie musicals from the 50's, in particular, are always such a treat to revisit.

Life really is all about memories and now reading about and listening to the Divine Doris[Miss D] got me thinking,as I was shaving[my legs--well it IS nearly Christmas and my new boxed Disco collection is playing--Where are you Jane2 when I wanna'dance?]and I thought,here am I,nearly 70,this is one "Diva" from my era[don't think they called them that in those days]that invokes such an emotional,sentimental response from so many.I just wonder in 40 years time how todays' generation will remember their musical idols? Can you follow this jumble of words?--my Stereo is up way too loud!
