This is from a February 3rd, 2004 article:
"A mandatory draft is coming and it will come soon. Make no mistake about it. If you have a 'specialty' field such as health care worker or even computer skills (such as a degree in computer science), you could be 'drafted' into government service up to the age limit of 44 years old. You will have no choice in the matter as the Presidential Executive Order has already been signed and has become the "law", without the messy annoyance of congressional voting or debate, of course. The new age limit of conscription will also be pushed up to 36 years (update: June 2006. now changed to 42 years ) of age, not 26 years as was the traditional limit. They have now tied in Selective Service Registration with applying for a driver's licence in some 34 states so far."

I'm 4-F. Flamingly Fantabulous Faggotrina Fatale!
Go ahead ask! I won't tell!
This scares the beejeebies out of me.
I'm a 22 year old woman. But I might not be eligible because I take antidepressants.
I will be 44 on the 30th of this month. I have had a scoliosis surgry and I have NF, and I am blind w/o my glasses. Can we say 4F?
Oh yeah and I am a female.

Part of me hopes they do reinstitute the draft.
Maybe then the rest of America will finally wake the f*** up.
I'd be eligible. It pretty much scares the sh*t out of me.

colleen, You are 100% correct. Bring back the draft and we will be out of Iraq in six months. Then finally people will take to the streets to stop this ridiculous war.

They can't draft me -- one of the few advantages of being an aging homosexual.
a mandatory draft is coming and it will come soon.
so three years after that was written and there's no draft. define soon.
no fear mongering here.
yep, the draft is coming according to links on that site at the hands of charlie rangel of the dreaded trilateral commission (they make the link, not me and thus tip their reynolds wrap beanie). unfortunately they're just pawns of the illuminati who are controlled by opus dei through skull and bones. wake up folks, soylent green is people!
another well sourced, clear and concise story from that site:
remote viewing brought to you by the letters t and v
Won't they have to change the "don't tell" stance? And didn't someone (in the army) say homosexuality was a disability?
I'm queer as a three dollar bill, so count me out.
just bear in mind the story that's scaring you folks is one of many on the website http://educate-yourself.org.
so do bear in mind where the information on which your basing your fear comes.
another one that should scare you even more than the draft is this discussion of aliens:
insights on zeta reticulans and other alien groups, parts 1- 4
Before they institute a draft in this country, how about a draft in IRAQ?

I won the draft lottery in 74. I was # 15. It was the last year they had the lottery, Was in school.
Technically I'm eligible, but you can bet I would be telling. I;m all about defending my country, but I'll be damned if I'm going to fight in this conflict that I don't even believe in.

Not that it really matters all that much for me since I'm female and on lots of meds (something finally to be happy about, I suppose) but I've wanted to move to Australia. This could be added as another reason.

I think I've said this here before - I want them to use all that fandangled technology and the Patriot Act to round up every male between 18 and 35 that has been online saying this crap is a good thing, and send their asses right on over.
HD, can you hear me?
And for the record - again - I don't need to offer my services. I already did.
I would be terrified if there is a draft because my brother is 19 and it would be awful to have him be in danger, but at least it would make the war real to people. Right now we see the headlines everyday about another suicide bombing or insurgent attack and virtually no one cares because the conflict is so remote to us. If Vietnam was the conflict that brought war into America's living rooms then Iraq is the conflict that America ignores.
I wouldn't be surprised if they abolished Don't Ask Don't Tell just in time for a draft, to avoid the possibility of everyone crying gay just to get out of it.
skittles, you are so right. If the draft was reinstated you believe that gays would immedaitely be allowed in.
And for the record, I don't think this will ever happen. Rangel is contorting the whole issue into a class system/race card and no politician in their right mind would ever support this.
However as MJHF said, IF we go to war with Iran (please god, no) then all bets are off.
And although it may seem distasteful - I believe the only reason there aren't more vehement protests now is b/c most people (including myself and those who oppose here online) aren't directly affected.
"so three years after that was written and there's no draft. define soon.
no fear mongering here."
Please note that the first post in this thread talks about what transpired THIS PAST TUESDAY in The Senate Armed Services Committee and not about the 2004 article.
If they do reintroduce the draft, why would women automatically be exempt? The world has changed from the Vietnam days and I'd be interested to see the rationale behind sending only half the eligible population to the draft.
i already addressed the first post in a previous post. i'm more interested in what other fun theories from http://educate-yourself.org you subscribe to, pab. aliens? remote viewing? the civilian concentration camps located in the us? the new world order? the theory that global warming is a psy-op being run by the illuminati? i mean that site is just chock full of great stuff. why don't you share whether you're cherry picking or if you subscribe to the batsh*t crazy horse hockey they're selling there.
