I read this once, "People who take drugs don't want to live". I thought it was one of the most asinine things I had ever read.
Some time later, reading about a fatality due to recreational drugs, into my mind pops, "He just didn't want to live".
There is now a lot of chronic liver damage and failure due to alcohol in the UK. These social drinkers repeatedly ignore the medical advice given them in spades. I don't think they want to live either.
This was revealed in a conversation with my local funeral director, he gets more deaths from alcohol than drugs, that for some reason really surprised me.
The great thing with human brains is they're fanless, nice and quiet although I'm sure mine whistles a bit sometimes.
