Im not sure if its still on (I think it is) but ET is on USA Network. This such an incredible movie and definitely one of my top 10 favorites of all time. It's Spielberg's best film. Love it, love it, LOVE IT.
Opinions? Thoughts?
It makes me cry. Like Bambi.
Me too! I cry every single time I see it.

I REFUSED to see this when it was released - I simply WOULD NOT allow that man to manipulate me so easily.
Then I broke down and rented it one weekend - and watched it five times before I had to return it. AND went through about a box-and-a-half of Kleenex.
F*** Steven Spielberg!
And now I own it, of course.
I'm not that crazy about it, but then again, I also have a lump of coal where my heart should be.
I'm kidding. I like it, but it's not something I can watch over and over again. I don't like to cry, so I avoid doing it as much as possible.
LOVE this movie. Love it. 'nough said.
Actually, I was reminded of E.T. while watching the new KING KONG.

I like it, but after sitting through it three times a few months ago because my godson's 5-year-old flu-ridden sister wanted to snuggle with me while she watched, I think I'm good for a few years.

Everyone i tell this to says i'm a weirdo, but i think ET is so cute! My brother says he looks like a chewed up tootsie roll, but i find him adorable
I just finished watching the final scenes of the movie from my DVD (missed the end on USA) and I cried like a baby. Again. This movie is so great.

When I first saw it I was little and was CREEPED OUT!! The beginning..when they're running after him in the woods...all you see is a heart...DAMN it petrified me!
But now I love it. With a passion!
Who can't like ET????
But SURELY some Scrooge will come on here with the good ol "Um. Am I like the only one who doesn't get ET??"
DG - she was too sophisticated for Barney from birth.
ET is my favorite movie of all time.
And Blue...I was actually thinking the same thing about King Kong/ET. Not because the movies are similar but because King Kong made me feel that sense of wonder with the movies that ET did when I first saw it in the theater.

DG, you horny, twisted, sick devil you!
Love E.T.
The score is exhilarating
Yeah I love the score too...especially the last 10 minutes...classic Williams.
