The Headband completely and vindictively misconstrues Neil Patrick Harris's remarks, in order to post something bitchy.

If you watch the video, his comments are CLEARLY positive.

And he says "...the pizza bit" not "...the pizza, babe."

Perez Hilton obviously changed the repeat of the word "bit" to the condescending word "babe," just to stir up SH*T and make Neil Patrick Harris look bad.

That's what happens when you use Perez Hilton as your source without attributing your quote to him.

You look like you're stirring up SH*T yourself. AGAIN.

This is hilarious. "ET said he said 'babe,' how very dare he show Ellen such SHAAAAAADE?"

He said "bit".

And the attitude was complimentary and lovely. Now, what is it about some people that they can hear SHAAAAAAAADE in their heads where none exists?

I have no interest in correcting the Internet.

But if you're going to waltz into a thread on a Broadway board and announce triumphantly that one board-favorite celebrity was "incredibly condescending" to another board-favorite celebrity, the least you can do is listen to the damn thing before posting it.

But, no, you never look first before doing something nasty. You jump right in, as if you've caught the celebrity in flagrante delicto.

And you posted that first bit without crediting Perez Hilton, pathetically hoping to steal a little bit of glory from him, of all people.

You have been spoken to before about claiming that other people's blog posts were your own.

Or were those complaints made to another one of your noms de plume?

While I don't deny that I clearly rub many of you the wrong way (that doesn't really phase me) -- and no, it's not a euphemism -- you'd be hard pressed to find any evidence that I have more than one account because I simply don't. I gladly give Rob my permission to use my IP, email address, etc., to verify that I ONLY have one account just so you could shut up about that.

If you want to trash me about using Perez Hilton as a source or berate me for having unpopular opinions, that is completely fine. That's a legitimate reason for spirited discussion and heated debate. But simply falling back to the default "Who did you used to be?" is getting quite tiresome. I have nothing to hide and invite you to contact Rob and ask if I currently have or ever had other accounts/usernames. And I give him permission to tell you. At least then you won't be able to cop out and use that as your basis for obsessively following me around in every thread.

Tear me down for the content of my posts, if you'd like. But don't tear me down for something that is simply not true. There is absolutely no proof to back your claim up and I am positive Rob could verify this if he crosschecked my email account and IP address with all previously registered posters in his database. Enough is enough.

DAME, not that it matters at this point ( haven't checked the board all day), but there was actually a typo in my OP. I wrote:
I would be surprised if that's true, mind you.

I meant to write:
I WOULDN'T be surprised if that's true, mind you.

In other words, while I missed your link to sold out concert dates, I was saying I essentially agreed and would not be surprised if Liza's concert dates were selling out due to all the (largely positive) press she's received in the wake of the Oscars.

I preferred Ellen's performance on her last hosting gig and I did start to wonder if the producers/director had started drinking a bit too early at times with all of the sloppy camera work, missed cues, flubbed lines etc, but I think it's silly to deny that she wasn't the main reason for a ratings spike. She deserves the credit.

I think the Oscar's spike in rating is due to the accessibility of the nominated films-many of which were box office gold. People are more invested when they have seen the films. This year was a banner year for cinema and most of the nominees were hit. I guess the last highest rated year was the year Titanic was nominated-which was gangbusters at the box office.

As far as Liza and Ellen-I thought the TMZ video cleared everything up. Liza appears to have no hard feelings and seemed to say she didn't mind the joke but Ellen didn't deliver it properly. It seemed like Liza was critiquing more as a fellow professional that Ellen didn't sell the jab correctly and it fell flat.

It seemed like Liza was worried that because Ellen didn't clearly state that Liza was her friend that the jab was seen as vicious.

I'm sorry I believed the lies.

I've pretty much come to the understanding that anything surprising reported anywhere on the Internet is undoubtedly false until proven true.

And hearing something multiple times on the Internet doesn't make it MORE true. It usually makes it less true.

Which brings up the troubling question of what constitutes truth nowadays: If two or more people on the Internet believe a lie to be true, how do you tell them it's NOT true? Why should they believe YOU?

And how do you even know it really IS true?
