I hate to say it. I used to love this show and I'm trying hard to remain loyal, but this show has taken a nose-dive in the past year.
ER needs to be cancelled.

I have to agree... but it still brings in the big advertiser dollars.

Well, if the ratings fall due to people like me abandoning the show, the dollars won't be there anymore.
Personally, I think it's riding on The Apprentice's coat-tails right now, but the Apprentice will end just in time for ER's mid-season two month run of reruns.
I offically predict this season is it.

I actually liked tonight. I agree that the show is well past it's sell-by date, but thought that tonight's had a real Six Feet Under thing going on and I kind of liked it in spite of myself.

It was a clever concept, but Liotta couldn't save any of the bad, bad, atrocious acting on that show these days.

I feel like it's more often a question of the writing vs. the acting. (With the exception of the annoying shrieking woman who was demanding faster service throughout the episode!)

I just miss the good old days of kick-ass medicine.
At least when it was all "soap opera" back in the day of Greene, Ross, Hathaway, etc. it was interesting.
Now it's like they can't decide who the main characters are anymore.
It's a real shame because I really like Maura Tierney and Parminder Nagra.

Yep. A couple of seasons ago when Carol joined Doug in Seattle (or wherever) with her kids, those last five minutes made my college lobby full of fans STAND UP. I'm lucky I can keep my head up anymore.

I actually thought that Ray Liotta was excellent as well as the rest of the casr. I would like to see more shows like this.

A really good friend of mine just joined the cast and I think he really brings a lot to a show that has just not been as good as it USE to be. However his young and cocky attitude helps a lot!

Shane West is hot and talented. He's not an ass. Good for him for being on ER. Too bad the show is on the slippery slope to doom though.

Yes, I am talking about Shane and he is VERY talented and SO not an ass at all! Did you bother to see A Walk To Remember? He was great in that. He is a really nice guy to top it all off. So thank you to the ones who do recognize his talents.
