Broadway legend Elaine Stritch, aged 86, is still going strong at the Cafe Carlyle. NY TImes critic Stephen Holden reports that despite some memory lapses and the need to be cued, Stritch is still something to behold in this program devoted to Stephen Sondheim. I would dearly love to hear her sing "Rose's Turn" from GYPSY. Those of you who live in NYC should take advantage of the opportunity to see this legend one more time.

She's doing a show on 10/22 at Town Hall. I assume it will be a lot of the same material.
I got seats in the 10th row on the aisle for $56, so it's much more affordable.
