Remember Jonathan Tolins' TWIGHLIGHT OF THE GOLDS? It was about the near future, wherein one could learn the oritentation of a baby in utero. Imagine the dilemma of a good Whatever (I refuse to call 'em the C word) facing which sin would be the worst, abortion or raising a goin'-to-hell heathen. Of course, that presupposes the acceptance that being gay isn't a "choice." There's a play: Born against raising a little gay child, and depriving him of WIZARD OF ODD (Judy!)

Is Elizabeth the one who was so fixated on the "horror" of Hugh Jackman having to kiss a guy? That was the last time I watched that stupid show, though my mom adores it for some reason.
No, that was Rachel from, "The Real World - San Francisco".
Soooo painful to watch her not drop that subject. I have that interview on tape and have to fast-forward through her comments.
Elisabeth is from the first Survivor - I think - never watched.
she's a ditz and her hubby's a p*ss poor qb.
on the subject of born again or fundamentalist or staunch catholic, let's just call them firm believers blessed with glbt kids, for the most part they stick their heads in the sand. they make excuses for behavior and tastes and try to stear the child toward more "acceptable" behavior and tastes. i know i'll catch hell for this, but i think it is exceptionally tough on them to have to face soomething like that that challenges their conceptions not just of their own beliefs but of an entire world view, that while abhorrent to many folks here, maay be all they have ever known. now there are some who are just completely oblivious, but more often than not they know deep in their hearts, whether they want to admit it or not, that no matter how much they pray that this is who their child is. whether or not they can accept that is another story.
remember, it's not like anyone lives in a vacuum. they most likely would be surrounded by friends who share their views, hence they'd face the normal, "what did you do wrong?" from all of their friends. that's partly to blame for their refusal to accept what they know to be true. in the end i would hope that more often than not the parents find some accomodation with their children no matter what their orientation and that unconditional love will rule the day. change is never easy and acceptance comes hard when it comes at the price of a lifetime of belief.
She's hot. I want to touch her on the heiney.

Haven't seen this show in a while, but Elizabeth never really grated on me before. Naive, sure. Joy, on the other hand...that voice...the rude butting in...gah. She sounds like a Harpy. Her and Starr are the reasons I stopped watching. I like Meredith, though, she's nice.
I hope someone good replaces her during her maternity leave.

I don't particularly care for any of the women on that show, most of all Star Jones. I cannot stand to listen to her speak. To find out that she registered for gifts for her wedding, that's ridiculous.
