I'm sure it's political bias -- I own it fully -- but I find the snippy, self-righteous right-leaning Elizabeth of THE VIEW increasingly hard to watch. Today she tried to pull her Values Card when Laura Linney was talking about the complex lives of the Kinseys. These people are the most important researches into sexuality in the past 100 years, and all Elizabeth could insert was her comment that any experimentation in marriage is "damaging." Period. End of discussion. Linney countered with a ... dare I use the word ... more nuanced response, saying it can be hurtful, not necessarily damaging, but little Liz wouldn't let up. When she can't contribute meaningful discourse to a complex subject, she just says "...this is controversial..." Controvery is code for her personal ick factor when someone's "morals" don't match her "mainstream" ones. Some days I think Joy just wants to smack her. I do.

One of these days she is going to break the last straw and Joy and Star are going to have a smackdown with her skinny lil a$$. re: Elizabeth on 'The View' I just hope it is televised!

I made a comment about Elizabeth on the "SHUT UP" thread last week. She has been extremely nauseating to watch as of late. I actually used to like her.

It always seems that Elizabeth is trying her hardest to just be heard on that show. Even though sometimes her comments can be annoying. I also always thought that Elizabeth was friends with joy and star because on the segments they always seem to like each other. I guess theyre just paid to act like it.

Guys, guys!

Let's try to be bipartisan about this. Every single 'twentysomething' they've had on this (regardless of personal political beliefs) have been AWFUL. Remember the shrieking harpie known as Debbie Matanopoulos (a personal fave)?? The vapid musings of Lisa Ling. Now we have Elizabeth 'Onward Christian Soldier' Hassleback.

Let's just face it. Twentysomethings are friggin morons. Sorry guys, but it's true. I was a moron when I was in my 20's. Hell...I'm still a bit of a moron at age 30.

It's just the way it goes.

Just recently they showed a clip of her postulizing at the RNC in NYC. My take was, "look at me everyone, I'm important, you have to listen to what I'm saying". It was obvious from all the background noise that not a soul was listening to her!!!

Absolutely. Elizabeth is not and ever will be a diva.

Are you finished eating breakfast, because I wanted to put another adjective in there?

I just can't stomach her. She makes me want to hurl! Can't wait for her to go on vacation. When is she gonna sh*t out that baby anyway?

Well, sadly it was the RNC in NY, not the DNC....I would certainly have preferred we host the latter.

I guess the sterotype of a 20-something is more progressive, and having a more "traditional" type is their idea of a fresh perspective or something.

Whatever--I liked her a lot more on Survivor.

Matt_G you have Tracey Gold as yours, right?

Beaverhausen....I can't tell, forgive my ignorance--it looks like Phyliss Schlaffley with bells palsey or something--who is it?

I think I'm getting tired of all of them, esp. Star. My mother's friend lives next door to Barabar W. assistant, and she has told us that no one likes Star. I hate to gossip, but she said Star is extremely self-centered and the others are really fed up with it. She also said Meredith is the nicest, and Joy and Elizabeth are ok.

As far as Elizabeth, I guess I don't mind her. She's in my age group so I can understand why she says what she says. But I really can do without pointing out every other day how far she's coming along. I understand it's her first baby, but she's not the first, nor the last to be pregnant. Also, you kind of get the feelling that the other four are a bit tired of the baby thing as well. Maybe they do need to replace her with a thirty-something. Being that the others are well into their forties, I think she is a bit too young to be on that show. Though I think she's 2 years older than her husband, right? She's 28, he's 26, I think. Not that it matters.

Good suggestion, Raithnait62. I was thinking the same thing. We might as well send the Star thread, too.

Beav, she'll just be thrilled that you're all talking about her. I don't think she'll take any of your points to heart.
