Ellen DeGeneres out as American Idol judge.

And Kara isn't under contract for next season. Something tells me that the only current judge who'll be coming back is Randy. I bet they bring in two new judges and go back to a panel of three.

Ellen DeGeneres out as American Idol judge.

You know what, Ellen knew what she was getting into when she took the gig. Now all of a sudden she can't handle it. Fine. Because everytime I passed by the show she was fawning all over the contestants. I usually watch the last 3 weeks of the show but didn't this last season.

So she is gone and millions are out of work and she is making millions. Just not breaking news for me.

Am I bitter?!! lol

Jessica Simpson is replacing Ellen.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Ellen is nothing if not classy and smart. I imagine she caught on to the fact that she was contributing nothing to the show and decided to move on.

Watching AI sink slowly like the Titanic is going to be...fun!

It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I don't think Ellen did know what she was getting into. She was replacing Paula who never said anything beyond, "That was wonderful," or, "keep working!" or, "you looked great!" I don't think she knew she would actually have to put forth really constructive criticism. Her comedy works in stand up and on her show, but I don't think she realized that people wouldn't like her cracking jokes left and right on AI. She's really one of America's sweethearts in her outlets. She is loved by everyone who watches her show and those who think she's a vessel of Satan don't have to watch. AI already had a strong audience. I saw people on facebook asking their friends to pray that Adam Lambert not win since he would be able to push his gay agenda. The gay haters watch Idol. You saw the Claymates reactions when it was suggested that he MIGHT be gay. (I mean, come ON! At the finale all of his best friends were on and they were all chubby, twenty something girls. My mom said, "Oh, he's gay!") She's right. It wasn't the right fit. The show is over.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

They need to get Don Rickles.

I'd actually like to see JLo on the show. That's a HUGE name for them to get which would boost ratings significantly, so for their sake, I hope it's true.

Only replacement for Simon is Gordon Ramsay.

Apparently group of producers are handling the initial auditions. My daughter's trying out at the Izod Center next week and if she passes through the initial rounds, she might not see the big three/four/whoever for a couple of months. The crowd shots are taken on first audition day, but the judges go the audition spot at a later date in a now-transparent attempt to make it look like everything's happening at the same time.

I'm not a fan of Ellen to start with (I find her more annoying than funny) so her moving on is no loss to me. All I got out of her last year was that the unflattering lighting made her look older and kinda Keebler elf-ish.

J. Lo and Steven Tyler? Buh-bye A.I!

Well, if anyone should be judging singing, it's J. Lo
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I can't stand J-Lo. Her voice..even when speaking...is like nails on a chalkboard. Plus the less crazy Scientology in my life the better.

I've always disliked her, however I instantly HATED her when she came out with that ATROCIOUS Louboutin song!

I can live with J-Lo. Just, please God... not Steven Tyler!!! I'd never watch again!

I think they should keep Randy, dump Kara, and bring in Harry Connick Jr. along with J-Lo. That would be a decent and affable panel.
