She's taking over the world!
"NEW YORK – After a season judging singers on "American Idol," Ellen DeGeneres is delving deeper into the music business with her own label.
The talk show host was announcing on her show Wednesday that she is starting a label called eleveneleven. Her first act will be 12-year-old Greyson Chance, who recently became a sensation on YouTube with his piano version of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi."
There's no word on when the label will start. It was formed with Telepictures Productions.
Besides DeGeneres, Greyson has some other strong people behind him: Madonna's manager and Lady Gaga's manager."
Even though she is the sole reason for American Idol's drop in ratings?
According to this thoroughly researched column, at least
I don't think the ratings had anything to do with her... it had to do with sucky talent.
Now that's an oxymoron!
It will be interesting to see who she signs in the future. It is evident that she loves music.
Does anyone know what happened with that claim against her that she was using songs for the "dance" segment at the beginning of her show without permission? I noticed they tend to play the same songs a lot. It seems these artists would be happy that she is featuring their music on her show.

She is insane. Not since Warners gave Madonna her Maverick vanity label has a worse idea been floated. Given the state of the industry now, it's approximately 500% more insane.
