I recall that the major nominations were leaked about three weeks ago. Now we will see if that leak contained the actual nominations.
I'm happy for our "Broadway folks" that got nominations...

Best Commercial Design....what are the Emmys coming to?
I think they're actually giving out more Emmys than gift bags now, in Hollywood.

Uh, not to forget Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock!
Oh, that little faggot TR Knight got a nom too.

The Avenue Q writers are nominated for best music and lyrics for their song "Everything Comes Down to Poo", from the Scrubs musical episode. They are up against Justin Timberlake's "Dick in a Box" from SNL.
I am so happy for Tina Fey and her show. Congratulations.
Oh, and Aida Turtorro? So glad she was singled out. I thought she was brilliant, but not such a huge role this season.
I am sorry the page from 30 Rock wasn't nominated, sorry can't think of his name.

I just don't know how Dick in a Box would lose. Even if the Q boys had KAREN ZIEMBA!

It was like a sick "in-joke" that triple threat Tony winner KZ was on the musical Scrubs episode, and didn't sing or dance - she had one line and about five seconds of screen time.
She just happened to be in L.A. doing CURTAINS at the time, and the episode was directed by Will Mackenzie, who's she's known for over 20 years, and who directed her in I DO, I DO.
Mackenzie got nominated for directing the episode, as did Scott Ellis for an episode of 30 Rock.

The Break Up was a genius 30 Rock episode, and not even the best of the season.
I can't take any list of nominees seriously that leaves Lost off for best drama, and, even worse, didn't nominate Elizabeth Mitchell for supporting actress! I'm sorry, but I watch Heroes every week - there's no WAY that's a better show than Lost is! I guess it doesn't REALLY matter since The Sopranos will (and not necessarily unjustly) sweep anyway.
On the other hand, I'm VERY happy The Office got all the well-deserved nods it did. Supporting actor in a comedy is a VERY tough one this year -- Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Piven, Rainn Wilson, and NPH all competing (and watch Jon Cryer pull out the win, as ridiculous as that would be).
Actually - the one area that the noms make sense to me, and perhaps the most important category of all for me, is the drama writing -- three for the Sopranos, one for Lost, one for Battlestar Galactica. I have a hard time arguing there - and would have an even harder time having to choose one of those!
That is a tough category, Jason. I am pulling for NPH.
And yea! for Kathy Griffin!!
for your consideration i'd like to respectfully submit connie britton for best actress in a drama for "friday night lights."
eta: oh, and also zach gilford for best supporting actor in a drama for "friday night lights."
Oh, so YOU are the one that watches that show.
Charlene AND Julia Sugarbaker got nominated!
How is it possible that The Office and 30 Rock each received two nominations for comedy writing, (and Extras received one), whereas Ugly Betty didn't receive any?
Interesting that Katie Heigel is now in the mix with Chandra and Sandra to split that Grey's supporting actress vote.
Bah, I was pullin' for a nod for Patti on Ugly Betty.
I am sick of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES getting snubbed.
It is so sad that they aren't on the Outstanding Comedy list.
However, CONGRATULATIONS to my OFFICE people... I love Dwight and Pam! YAY!
Yay Hugh Laurie and HOUSE! Once again, deserving of the nods.
Yay Rainn Wilson for a long-overdue nod for The Office
Felicity Huffman deserves to win in her category. She was great this season of housewives.
And no nods for Scrubs at all?! I know that they had a crappy season, but their worst episode of the series is still better than the best episode of Two and a Half Men.
Wasn't this season just the 2nd for The Office? If so, how 'long-overdue' can Rainn Wilson's Emmy nom be?
No, it's like 3rd or 4th season of THE OFFICE.
And, yes, Rainn Wilson's nod was long overdue.
Now, I just hope Krasinski is noticed next year.
Yay for Jenna Fischer. She needs to win.
I really do hate to be nitpicky, but The Office debuted in the Spring of 2005 with six episodes. It's first full season was 2005-2006, and last season, 2006-2007, was its second full season. I will reiterate my opinion that calling Rainn Wilson's nom 'long-overdue' is a misstatement.
I'm happy to see that Mary-Louise Parker and Minnie Driver nominated, but I'm really disappointed that Eddie Izzard was snubbed. Tina Fey's nomination for Lead Actress was a pleasant surprise.
According to imdb, THE OFFICE has seen four season.
I'm not fighting or anything.
