These clips always makes me smile.
The first is a medley of Ethel's greatest hits, with Ethel duetting with various of the Muppets. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think she realizes they're puppets.

The second is the famous "Soft Show Business" in which Ethel uncharacteristically sings "There's no Business Like Show Business" softly and sweetly, to comfort Fozzie, who's been a big flop. She's so tender when she says "The closing when the customers don't come"...

Then she takes the 2nd chorus BIG.
Bloody Hell, I was actually thinking about Ethel singing "Anything you can do" with Miss Piggy today...
hilarious.

Thanks, but you had to go and quote an Olivia Newton John song in this thread?!?
Couldn't you have told me you love me in more Mermaniacal terms?

Ha ha. What can I say? I've been listening to Xanadu all day.
You coulda said you get a kick outa me.
Or that you hear singing and there's no one there.
Or that I'm the sun in the morning and the moon at night.
Or you could have offered me an eggroll or some fried rice or a ginger-peachy lychee or a napkin or a chopstick or a chair.
Sheeshh...some people!
For mauriposa...watch this before your parade passes by.

Ohhhhh...Calvy, you know that anytime you want you can put your head on my shoulder, you need someone who's older, a rubdown with a velvet glove.
(I never understood...why a velvet glove?)
I love her gowns. Does anyone know if she had a favorite designer?
PJ, you're the top.
I believe that's supposed to be plural, in the original.
