Saw a terrific and moving documentary the other night called MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS that follows three high school theater programs and their creative journeys to the "Freddy Awards" - the Tony Awards for high school musical theater.
It's such an important film in a time when arts education continues to shrink in our schools.

I become a fan of the film on Facebook. You should too:

For once, I'm happy to welcome a shill to the boards. I'm actually interested in this...
...not on Netflix, however...
Agreed - thanks for the info. Where can we see it?

It's a brand new movie. It's so much fun and so moving. I hope you can see it.
They told the audience it had only recently been finished, are currently entering film festivals and need people to spread the word about the film!
The website features all sorts of deleted scenes. Two with the hysterical Seth Rudetsky that are a lot of fun.

I just signed up for their e-list so I can get an e-mail to remind me to watch these online. The article said they are also streamed live so this might be fun to watch. I am from Pennsylvania but the the area that participates. I would have loved to have been a part of this in school!
