I've never watched 24. I've tuned in for at least a couple of episodes of most of the really big stuff, but this one has just plain never interested me.

...there's many, many more...I rarely watch television anymore.
You are missing out with not wtaching Dexter
You're not the first person to tell me that. As a matter of fact a co-worker was talking about DEXTER and I commented that I had never seen it and she said almost the same exact words, "You don't know what you're missing".
I may have to netflix it and give it a shot.

I never got into The West Wing until I recently started tivoing the re runs that air in the mornings on Bravo of all channels. Very good show and one that is very well written.
Start with Sseason 1 & then go from there.
If you start now, you should be all caught up by the time Season 5 rolls around.

Gosh, there are so many 'cause I don't really watch TV, and when I do it's either National Geographic, Discovery, History, those type of channels.
SM2---I'm very similar. I stopped watching series TV on the networks when shows began to use a serialized storyline, trying to hook viewers into watching every single episode. It used to be sitcoms and even many dramas were episodic. If you watched one, and then didn't see the next three, but tuned it after that, you could still enjoy it. Now everything is like an ongoing "soap opera," and I can't and won't get into it. Miss one, and you're forever lost and confused.
I stick with History Channel, TLC, Food, HGTV, PBS, plus TCM and other movie channels. I watch when I feel like it, and do other things when I don't.
Consequently, you can mention just about every network series that's been on in the past 10-20 years, and I haven't seen it. No joke. It's easier to list what I HAVE seen, which isn't much.

There's a lot of things listed here that I did watch and stopped watching. (CSI, Lost, Six Feet Under, South Park, ER, Heroes...)
I kind of want to go back and watch Lost, but I fear that's only because I've been watching all the Lost related Mark Pellegrino stuff (The Entertainment Weekly internship, Collect Four Million!) because I developed a dirty gross crush on him from Supernatural.
A couple things I've seen enough of to know I didn't want to watch it. (Everybody Loves Raymond, The Sopranos, Law and Order, 24.)
There's not a lot here that I just plain haven't watched at all, but there's also not a lot here that I watch with serial interest.

Why do people think it's cool to brag about TV shows they never watch?
Oh give me a break "Baby Jane" why are you reading so much into the intention of the thread. No one here is saying it's cool to brag about the topic at hand. It's just a list of shows people haven't watched, really, I speak for myself that it's nothing to brag about.
Modern Family. I tried once but the pseudo-documentary style turned me off. Everyone raves over it though so I'll probably give it a shot on Netflix one day.
