Favorite Cheese
re: Favorite Cheese#25

"I have to pick one?"
It has become very clear that the word favorite is automatically seen as favorites on this board. If you ask what is your favorite show, actress, actor etc. you will get at least five answers almost every time. So just don't worry about it.

No pab. A favorite cheese must be chosen in the next 5 minutes or banishment will occur.

uh-oh... I don't want to be banished.
I have tried many lovely cheeses that I don't remember the names of. At home, for meals and stuff, cheddar is the usual. I do love asiago and romano as well.
Did I save myself from banishment?

Montery jack with jalapeno mixed with smoked white chedder, shredded.

Posted: 3/25/06 at 8:42pmI keep freshly shredded pecorino Romano in the freezer all the time for pasta, or to top olive bread (also in the freezer) when I heat it up inside foil in the oven....

Mmm...havarti. It makes me giddy.
And gouda's definitely a close second.
I do miss cheese.

Dried asiago is a GOD. My ex-boyfriend got some of it to grate over some pasta he made me and I ended up just eating most of the cheese.
I'm also a big fan of swiss and feta, and I apparently LOVED cotswold when I was younger, but I haven't had it in quite a while.

Jane, we went to one of the gruyeres cheese factories and had fondue....and MORE fondue, and MORE fondue, and by the time we were done, I never wanted that kind of cheese......thank God the waitress would not let us order carbonated beverages.....apparenly gruyeres and carbonated beverages cause er, um...major gas.
Didn't help that in Strasbourg a few days before we had some other gruyeres thing......
