I suppose the best part of 2005 for me was the simple gratitude of being there for someone who had always been there for me. It's always nice to be able to give back some. I trust that in 2006 I can be and remain a happy and grateful person, and just try to be and stay real, with myself and others.
Everyday, I desire to say "Now, Just for the next 24 hours, I do not desire to lie about anything, to myself or the world". Just try it, It ain't as easy as it sounds. The fun is, It is impossible, but you catch yourself, you rectify the situation by being real, and you move on.
"Just Keep Moving On"

Favorite memory: pushing all of my astronomy studies aside to live in Dublin, Ireland for a better part of the spring and summer, so I could work on my travel photography.

Secondary favorite memory: for my 37th birthday I flew an old friend from SC up to NYC to be with me for my annual NYC birthday blow out. I hadn't seen her in years and she's never really ventured far from our old hometown... so it was fun giving her her first taste of NYC and the theatre.

I've come this far with the truth of the heart. Deep down inside I think we're all the same. Try not to judge and never shame... I do believe people are good... they just want hope and respect... to be understood ~Melissa Etheridge

I think one of them was the day I got a show of my photographs. I was so excited when the owner of the gallery told me how much he liked my work!

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien
