I love Ennio Morricone's score for THE MISSION.

I also listen to the SENSE AND SENSIBILITY soundtrack quite often.

1) The E.T. theme, especially after that long buildup in the forest--when it finally releases just as the bicycle takes off, it's like turning on a faucet--I cry at once.

2) The entire score of THE WIZARD OF OZ, including all the background music--it may be the loveliest, subtlest movie score ever.

3) The score of DRESSED TO KILL--it's so swooningly romantic for a film so frighteningly sensual.

4) The score of LAST TANGO IN PARIS--ditto.

5) The score of THE GREY FOX--yes, it's a Western, anyone on these boards ever see one of those? This is one of the few I can stomach, largely because of the music. It's stately, majestic, and graceful.

Ennio Morricone's "Gabriel's Oboe" from The Mission. It's so beautiful, it makes me weep.

Also, and I know this is corny, I love the theme from the Zeffirelli Romeo and Juliet.

I've always loved Mark Knopfler's subtle instrumental music for The Princess Bride (although I could do without the vocal "Storybook Love")

Also love Elfman's theme for Edward Scissorhands and Morricone's theme for The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
