Okay, so I was watching FRIENDS last night and it was the one where they were playing trivia for the apartment and the question about Rachel's favorite movie came up. So let me ask you...
What is the movie you tell everyone is your favorite movie and what is your ACTUAL favorite movie? I'll start. I tell everyone my favorite film is REAR WINDOW when it is actually ROMY & MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION.

The Lord of the Rings trilogy , please don't ask me to pick just one
American Beauty
The Sound of Music
On a side note, I'm of the opinion that Groundhog Day is one of the most underappreciated comedic gems of all time. Go watch it again.

Posted: 10/29/04 at 3:39pmfor halloween I'd have to say the original version of The Haunting, based on a book by Shirley Jackson. I have two others that I always watch with such emotion - Enchanted April and The Spitfire Grill...both really lovely stories of the human experience.

I start telling people that American Beauty or Color Purple or Maurice or Longtime Companion are my favorites.
But I usually break down and tell them the truth (which isn't so shameful): 9 to 5.
Followed closely by the Holy Trinity of Dunst:
Bring it On!
Drop Dead Gorgeous

And yet,if "Bring It On" is showing at the same time, I'd rather watch that...
