Who are your favorite movie villians? Can be any movie, animated and live action.
Mine:
Gozer-Ghostbusters
Vigo-Ghostbusters II
The Joker-Batman
The Penguin-Batman Returns
The Scarecrow-Batman Begins
Ra's Al Ghul-Batman Begins
The Green Goblin-Spiderman
Judge Turpin-Sweeney Todd
The Beadle-Sweeney Todd
Hannibal Lector-All the Hannibal movies
Davy Jones-Pirates of The Caribbean 2-3
Lex Luthor-Superman
Magneto and The Brotherhood-X-Men
Norman Bates-Psycho
I'd call the Beadle a sidekick.
We do like 'em with green skin and wearing black pointy hats, don't we?
Beautiful, sophisticated, and deliciously evil, not to mention Oscar-nominated...that's all.
I don't know if I'd call Miranda a villain. Bitch, yes, but not a villain.

Faye Dunaway's Mommie Dearest. Come now, have you ever been more scared and creeped out in your life?
Daniel Day-Lewis as Bill the Butcher in Gangs of New York.
"Whoopsie Daisy!"

So evil that he needed to be posted twice...

Hans Gruber in Die Hard
I agree completely with Hans Gruber. And that reminds me of my favorite comic villains - the Sheriff of Nottingham!

I mean, if we're going for over the top, of course I love Faye in Mommie Dearest! But Joseph Cotten's performance of Uncle Charlie (in Shadow of a Doubt) has always stuck with me. Chilling.
Speaking of Joseph Cotten, do I lose gay points if I liked Miriam better than Blanche?
"I know what yer up to Miss MIRRRRRRIAM!"
As for mine, I'd pick the ones I wanted to strangle:
Hope Emerson in CAGED
Gladys Cooper in NOW, VOYAGER
Easthampton in GREY GARDENS
I wanted to BE Maleficent!
Pazuzu
You have to hand it to him -- he certainly knew how to spruce up that dump, Bedford Falls.

Mayor: "Is this true?"
Peterlooking in Peck's direction): "Yes it's true, this man has no dick."
I was reading this article about Ghostbusters and William Atherton said that after the movie came out he was in NY and a school bus full of kids saw him and screamed out to him, "Hey Dickless."
I forgot in my list Peck from Ghostbusters, Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors, Jack Hardemeyer, and Janusz Poha from Ghostbusters II.
I also want to add Voldemort from the Harry Potter Movies and Darth Vader from Star Wars.
Oh, but he was so good in REAL GENIUS!
