"I love the "Two A-Holes" sketches."
Thank you for using the word "sketches", Floweryfriend. As a sometime writer of such things, the word "skit" drives me stark raving mad....

Kaitlin and Rick!
(RICK RICK RICK!!!)
What can I say, I'm a youngster and I worship Amy Poehler...
I pretty much love anything with Tina Fey, but I have a special place in my heart that is devoted to Amy Pohler as Kaitlin
"There was a one-off sketch with Alec Baldwin, where he played this impossible cowboy stud flirting up a storm with a waitress in a small town diner, with Jan Hooks as the waitress, that I still remember."
A classic!

"Kaitlin and Rick!

I emailed Rick Lyon (puppet bulider who was in Avenue Q) and I started laughing hysterically when I read his email was RickRickRick@somthing.com I asked if that was from SNL he said "where else would that come from."

Most of my favorites have already been listed, but there is a very special place in my heart for "Leg Up" with Cheri Oteri as Debbie Reynolds and Molly Shannon as Ann Miller.
The episode with Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra was far and away my favorite.
"It's a show about dancers, for dancers, with two dancers who LOVE TO DANCE!!!"
My favorite is the basketball team skit from the episode that Peyton Manning hosted last year. Will Forte played the basketball coach who was trying to motivate his losing team at half time by playing a cheesy song. His dancing was hysterical. If you watch in the background, the guys in the skit are trying really hard not to laugh. It is so funny.
Some other faves: Goth Talk, Spartan Cheerleaders, Roxbury Guys, Barry Gibb Talk Show, Jared's Room, Canteen Boy, Makin' Copies (Rob Schneider), Pat, Mango, Wake Up Wakefield (Sheldon and Megan), Drunk Girl, Kaitlin, and Debbie Downer.
Somebody already mentioned my all time favorite: Men's Synchronized Swimming (with Martin Short, Harry Shearer and Christopher Guest), so I'll add to the list: the Star Trek Convention with William Shatner as the "evil" Captain Kirk.

Have to triple the nomination for the synchronized swimming routine.
Also Murphy and Piscopo doing Stevie Wonder and Frank Sinatra.
Had a good laugh when Dennis Hopper was on and he played an MC of a game show called "What's That Smell?", a take-off of his film Blue Velvet.

I also forgot the singing couple with Will Ferrell - the one that DJs the school dances.

Apart from the ton of old skits I love, I have to say that I'm completely in love with Kristin Wigg's Penelope character. I think those are the best skits SNL's had in the last few years.
I also loved (just because it's recent in memory) Ellen Page's lesbian skit where she came back from a Melissa Etheridge concert where she realized she was gay...
"And I was like AHHHHHH!
... Why does everything have to have a friggin' label? Why can't I just hug a woman with my legs in friendship?"
TOO FUNNY.

Penelope is hilarious! "I'm on the dollar bill too. That's my eye on the pyramid." I died of laughter.
The surprise party sketch last night was another Wiig gem.

Sex and the City, Taco Town, the Nunis with Natalie Portman,Two A-holes, Maya Rudolph as Donatella Versace, Kaitlin and Rick...and a lot more.
Dan Ackroyd as Julia Child: "Oops, I've cut the dickens out of my finger!"
That Family Dinner sketch is genius! I love how the sounds of the silverware are almost a forth character! I believe Ferrell wrote that one if I am not mistaken.
In that Family Dinner sketch, listen for a mischievous audience member who lets out a hugely exaggerated laugh during a break in the dialogue, and sends the audience into another round of laughter.
