Posted: 9/22/08 at 8:12pmThis is an impossible question, there are far too many to choose from. When I was in high school my friend and I used to quote the "Been shopping? No, been shopping" bit all the time, much to the annoyance of our other friends. For years I had "message for you, sir" from Holy Grail as my new mail sound. And I currently have the Lumberjack song as a ring tone, and "I'd like to have an argument" as my ringback tone. And once I went into a cheese shop that was completely out of cheese - and the owner had no clue why we thought this was so funny.

I have the 'message for you, sir!' sound effect for my email, too!
And, erm, I was King Arthur from Holy Grail for Halloween two years ago. With coconuts. And I'm a girl. I think I may need help.
Interesting so many people should bring up the 'no, I've been shopping!' line. I always quote that, and no one seems to know what it's from. "Hello, Mrs. Gorilla." "Hello, Mrs. Non-gorilla."

"Your Highness, you are also like a stream of bat's piss."
"WHAT?!"
"I ... I merely meant, Your Majesty, that you shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark."
The Oscar Wilde sketch
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu#31re: Favourite Monty Python Sketch Or Quote?

A: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue anymore.
M: What?!
A: If you want me to go on arguing, you'll have to pay for another five minutes.
M: Yes, but that was never five minutes, just now. Oh come on!
A: (Hums)
M: Look, this is ridiculous.
A: I'm sorry, but I'm not allowed to argue unless you've paid!
M: Oh, all right.

Changed my mind:
I'm afraid I have no choice but to sell you all for scientific experiments.
