Since it immediately follows Drag Race, it just stayed on in my apartment as we all finished drinks, etc.

Apparently Prince Charming is a former lady of the night. Not that, as Mr. Seinfeld would say, there's anything wrong with that. He also, reportedly, refused to do business with black clients. And, that's, perhaps, as the kids say, a touch problematic.

That premiere episode was truly something else and it's all I've been able to think about this morning!
Robert (Prince Charming, ha!) is so painfully bland and lifeless that I don't know how they chose him. Did no one think to do a screen test, or I don't know, converse with him for five minutes???
The contestants, with few exceptions, are one cringeworthy embarrassment after another. One favorite moment was when the hairdresser told Robert that he was even more beautiful on the inside than the outside- after being in his presence for like 3 hours!
The black tie ceremony was so awkward; it looked like Robert was placing a noose around each of their necks.
But, it was like the old cliche of an train wreck you can't look away from and I can't wait for next week!

I liked whenever someone would describe Robert (including himself)- empathetic, goofy, etc. All I could think about was Arrested Development. "...her?"

After watching behind-the-curtain shows like UNREAL, it's very hard to take anything I see on FINDING PRINCE CHARMING as remotely a believable take on what actually happened at the garishly lit mansion for those silly weeks. I feel sorry for Mr. Sepulveda, Mr. Bass, and all 13 misbegotten contestants, if they don't realize from the get-go that their true selves will be replaced with whatever character the producers need them to play in the ensuing "drama".
Still, like Whizzer said, I can't look away.

I only started watching it because of UNREAL, actually. It's fun to imagine what Quinn and Rachel are up to as these people make complete fools of themselves on TV. This show will forever be worth it for that moment when the guy freaks out thinking that Lance Bass is "Prince Charming." That is pure comedy gold.

Could it be that I'm the only one on BWW still forcing myself to watch every episode as my own personal guilty pleasure (or maybe just to see how it all ends)?
Somehow Robby managed to wave his disclosure agreement with LOGO completely after he left the show in order to give the juiciest interview ever with Vulture yesterday:

No, Robby La Riviere was last week's aufed contestant, a cute charming stereotypically queenie young man always ready with the fruity quip, who couldn't sufficiently prove to Robert that he had a serious side, so was booted. The beans he spills in that interview finally show us the true reality behind the sequined curtain. He deserves his own show.

I started watching this on youtube based on this thread. It's so funny to watch after reading all the dirt on this guy and seeing his porn videos. These guys are going gaga over someone who in reality all it takes is some extra coins to get him.

Actually, he has fully admitted his rentboy past, saying first that he's not ashamed of it, and then that he doesn't want to talk about it (which probably means he is ashamed of it).

I don't care that he was an escort. It's just remarkable that someone so devoid of charm or personality could be an escort at all.
