Posted: 3/11/08 at 10:07amWe did something similar in High School...except we came out of stores singing "Aquarius." That's right, a whole bunch of white bread Texas theatre students in the middle of a mall singing from "HAiR" Why we weren't thrown out, I'll never know.

These people are brilliant. This is that Improv Everywhere group that staged the mass "freeze" in Grand Central terminal. Check out their website to see some of the other stunts, like having 50 red-haired people protest the Wendy's logo outside one of their restaurants or staging a book reading by "Anton Chekov" at a Barnes and Noble.

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
