Is it "The One" on ABC?
I saw it last week. It is painful. The performances aren't horrible but the personalities are so contrived. At least on A.I. you have the "real people" element that kinda makes you connect to the contestants, not with this show.
Apparently this show had some of the worst debut ratings in history, ABC considered pulling it after last week.

It is, Colleen. It's like American Idol meets the Real World, but you're right, it doesn't have any of the realistic feel that American Idol has.

Apparently last week's debut of the show was actually the worst night in ABC ratings history. They finished tied for 5th with the WB and BEHIND Univision.

It probably could have been good, but I think viewers are just tired of this kind of thing, especially when there's one that really monopolized the whole concept.

I have no clue when school starts for me. Probably early-mid September. We ended on June 23.
