re: Banal details of life! Part 3

Sarah, do you have some sort of spray you could use? That happened to me at the beginning of the year and we used a roach spray or something like that. It worked really well.

Congrats Em! I'm so happy for you. Where is it?

Congrats, Em! I know you were really worried about the internship situation, so I'm glad to hear that you secured a position. I start training at Starbucks later this week.

I'm completely done with high school! I could not have had a better day. I received a sweet card from someone that I wouldn't expect to give me anything at all, and my day was filled with birthday wishes from people who I didn't think cared about my existence. Of course, they'll probably go back to not caring after today, but the feeling is mutual. re: Banal details of life! Part 3

I also received 100% on both my last math test and biology paper, so I'm happy that I ended on a high note.

Congrats Em!

Glad you're having a great day, Lexi. That's how birthdays should be. re: Banal details of life! Part 3

I have to fill out job applications today. Bleh. I hate having to "sell" myself, especially when they make such tiny boxes to put the responses in.

Congrats Em! (told you already but still...)

I didn't get another. I'm waiting to hear from one, and I have another interview tomorrow, and I too hafta figure **** out if I don't get either.

re: Banal details of life! Part 3

Thanks. I'm so relieved. I hated having nothing to do, and my parents are finally going to quit tormenting me. It's not perfect, but I'm still really excited about it; I get along with the person I'm working for really well. I don't start for two weeks, though.

Gracias.

I have to do dishes, but that would required taking this very complicated splint off my wrist.

Yay Em and Lexi.

Mel, I don't think I have any spray. I did have some fun sucking them up with the vaccuum cleaner though. I'm a little sadistic.

Will someone tell my roommate that it's not okay to leave the window open, when it's already freezing in the room, and you're not even planning on being there?

jlc- if she's not planning on being there than close the window!

I did close it. I did the same thing yesterday...I guess she doesn't get the hint.

re: Banal details of life! Part 3

jlc, I had that problem (along with many, many other problems) with my freshman roommate. Essentially, I always thought the room was too cold, and she would always complain about how hot it was and open the window and turn on the fan and the air conditioner as soon as she walked into the room.

My first day of work went pretty well. I'm working in a different department than the one I had worked for in previous summers, so that will take some getting used to.
