jlc, I had that problem (along with many, many other problems) with my freshman roommate. Essentially, I always thought the room was too cold, and she would always complain about how hot it was and open the window and turn on the fan and the air conditioner as soon as she walked into the room.
My first day of work went pretty well. I'm working in a different department than the one I had worked for in previous summers, so that will take some getting used to.
