I still have half a book and a whole other one to finish by the 11th. Good Luck to me.
I'm going to take some self-defense classes.
The dad of the little guy I take care of bought a new laptop that came with a free printer. He just gave it to me. It's really nice. It has a scanner, SD card slot and prints photo quality. It's a lot nicer than the $28 cheapo printer I had. lol Now I wish I had something to print. This is the family that got me an iPod video for my birthday and a first class ticket home for Christmas. (The same family that I painted the little boy's room in Mickey.) They just couldn't be nicer.

aww...Jersey, that's so sweet. But you're really good to the boy too.
I think it is so hot in my house and my parents think the temperature is fine. Very early menopause?

I just imported and cleared some of my songs on my iTunes.
So I am moved in an unpacked yay.
My roomate seems cool. She is nice
She and a suitemate are going to get drunk (def a party girl) which is fine by me as long as she doesnt do anything to my stuff. I think I may be the only person on campus not gonig to a party tonight though...
My dad just told me I could party this weekend. I think he's been taken over by pod people.
I'm at home for the weekend because my roommate was making the trip anyway, and I know my mom's been empty-nesting. She's sick with a migraine, right now, though... I really hope this doesn't last the entire weekend.
My mom keeps doing this thing where she'll say something like "you're never going to call me again, are you?" - and I know she's at least somewhat joking because I call her *all* the time, but it's getting old already. I hope once she realizes I'll still call her, she'll stop saying it already.
Move-in day: Part 2 should be pretty smooth, I think. My best friend is coming to help me decorate my room, which she did last year as well. Another friend of ours is coming to check out my new room/say goodbye, which is sad, yet comforting at the same time.

I'm going to go to bed now. It's kind of funny, I know the school year will be starting soon because the procrastination has already set in. Yea me.
My friend, who basically blew me off completely, all of a sudden wants to spill her heart out.

Ow, blisters.
So the weirdest thing happened to me on the subway today. This woman who seems a little odd gets on, and when she sits down, like, falls on the guy she sits next to. I'm sitting on her other side. As we're riding along, she's like... doing yoga or stretches or something. She kept whacking me and the guy on her other side with her arms or her sleeves and stuff. So then she pulls out some cards and starts writing numbers on them; she hands me one, while my headphones are on and I'm listening to music. So very politely, I was like "sorry, what?" and she just kind of gestured at me. I thought she wanted me to like, add up the numbers in some weird fortune teller thing or something, but I kept asking what I was supposed to do with the card and she didn't tell me. So she asked me my name and told me she really liked the skirt I was wearing. I -- again politely -- thanked her, and she asked where I got it. I said I didn't remember. I started to get really uncomfortable, still not knowing what the hell this card was for. So she was like "oh, don't be afraid of me...." Thank God I was getting of at the next stop. I think the card is for some kind of cult or something.

That's a very unusual story, Em. Ah, strange people. It's what makes life more interesting!
Well, I was freaked out. A lot.
BUT I saw a really awesome show tonight and had some much, much needed laughs. (And french fries!)

What did ya see?
This thing called Don't Quit Your Night Job. Kind of an improv variety show.

Ohh, I've heard of that! It sounds really great.
I think another one of my wisdom teeth is coming in.
It's so early. Today is the first day of my new internship, and I'm really excited!
Watching the VMA's last night, they kept showing really pretty shots of the city, and I miss it, a lot.
I know that cold weather doesn't cause colds, but damned if I can't pinpoint the EXACT onset of the one I have now to getting caught in the cold rain yesterday.
