Final episode tonight
Oh, and if Mr. Barrowman never does another thing, he will forever be in my dreams for this scene alone:
Best gay kiss ever.

A very poignant scene, DG.
And I have my tissues at the ready for 9 p.m.

*sob*
So glad I had the tissues at hand, because boy were they needed. An outstanding episode, but oh, so terribly sad.

Wow. What an insane episode tonight. So much to take in, so many emotions. I was fine, more in shock in the last act or so - but they had to have that final moment, and I lost it.
I read recently that writer Chris Chibnall is leaving Torchwood to run Law & Order: London, which makes me sad. But I am confident with the right people, the next series will be a great one.

"Whoa. Not one, but two?!?"
It does seem a bit extreme, doesn't it?
But as long as Jack still has Ianto, I can live with it

Well, they are keeping the character on Earth, aren't they?
I think the relationship with Gwen is more likely to cause issues - not to mention whoever else might get introduced.
Ultimately, I don't see the relationship with Ianto lasting - but we have it for now, and I want to revel in it

Yes, for all that Jack and Ianto have something going on, Jack still has some feelings for Gwen that need to be sorted out. That was clear in the "Meat" episode, and to a lesser extent, in the episode where Gwen and Rhys got married.
Actually, given the fact that Jack can't die -- or won't die for millions of years (have you seen the Dr. Who episodes?) -- his relationships are almost always doomed. But good for him to find happiness where he can.

Oh, man. Doctor Who, for all its problems, is ridiculously better than Torchwood. It isn't even close. Of course, there's only ever been one gay kiss on that show, so if that's what you're watching for, by all means stick with the Cardiff Idiots' Crew. Though they'll probably be less idiotic if Martha Jones joins up to replace Owen.
I mean, Torchwood has its moments. It even managed an entire episode this season ("Adrift") that didn't at any point make me want to throw things at the screen. But its characterization is insane and pretty much determined by the dictates of the plot of the week, and it absolutely gutted the character of Jack- I love him when he's on Who, and he turns unnecessarily into a complete ass on Torchwood. Of course, if Martha does join I may have to watch next season anyway. :P

I think I am too. There's just something about him...
I hear he'll be part of Dr. Who series four as well.

Posted: 4/20/08 at 10:39pmI kept watching because I have no dignity or taste. And because the writer's strike kind of narrowed down my U.S. viewing choices. But mostly because of the "no taste" thing.

I just read he's gonna be in La Cage. I don't realize that! I'm sure he will be amazing.
Oh, it's sad he's got a severe injury. Hope he feels better soon.
