I know you wouldn't joke about this, but this is unbelievable!

In a way though it will bring a lot of attention to him and maybe now people will realize how horrible a person he is.

I can not tell you how I despise and hate this man with a burning passion. To mock the memory of the deceased and humiliate the mourners is lower that anything else I can possibly conceive.

I read this on www.Towleroad.com.

I read the published/announced reason and it made no lasting sense to me.

No, he's a publicity monger.

Crazy, yes, that's a given. But they go for soft spots because they know it'll cause attention, outrage, and generate publicity and website hits.

They're a joke. The upsetting part of it is how they're raising their kids to be hate mongers. A lot of people are doing that...but these folks are outwardly doing it with pride.

oh we've all seen it papa, but that's just a site. No one goes there except people who already hate homosexuals. But coming to a public service of mourning and mocking the dead is a totaly different thing.

But I have a question: if phelps' is such a Christian, then why does he refer to the Iraqis as servants of god. Did I misunderstand?

I would be surprised if anyone with that intent would be allowed anywhere near services for the victims.

Let's hope the police get this right. It would be a real tragedy for more killings to come out of this and I would bet that no one in that community would take his comments with a grain of salt.

I remember when the Long Island football hazings took place and a Baptist church in Kansas paid for their own flights to come up and picket in front of the school to say that the reason this thing happened to the kids was because the school and community tolerated and encouraged homosexuality. The sad fact is that there are a lot of sick people in this world and more hatred than we can imagine for all the wrong reasons.

Most people who have these opinions never take the time to find out about the people they hate. They just paint a demon's face on the person or group and head off to start the fires.
