I worked for a clueless producer a few years ago who knew her, and he would always say, "Who's that actress friend of mine?"
"Julianne Moore."
"Yes, that's it!"

Rath,
I agree about the trailer. It is really creepy--and I can't wait to see it!

Posted: 12/8/05 at 2:32pmAnyone read the book? Oh, it's absolutely devastating!!! Richard Price is one of the best novelists working! Moore seems like an obvious choice (and a little too old) for the part, but she'll be the bomb. The book is Dickensinian huge but Richard Price (I think) wrote the screenplay so it should be good. This story is a big ol' tragic downer....be warned.

Posted: 12/8/05 at 3:10pmI thought this thread was about the theme park in the Bronx.

Posted: 12/8/05 at 3:14pmIt's a page turner, lemme tell ya. And yes it does have to do with the theme park.

Oh, sorry. My acting coach is good friends with her. That's her nickname (as well as "Julie").

Worryingly, it's been moved from prime award release of end of the month to mid February.

Who knows, MEF - she give what is so far the best female performance of the year in PRIZEWINNER. It probably won't get her an Oscar, but she deserves a nomination.
Broadway: Oh, sorry. You just have just forgot that no one on here knows that your acting teacher is good friends with her. So, through association, you can call her by her nickname. That's lovely. So, by pointing out that your acting teacher is good friends with Julianne Moore, is that supposed to suggest that - again, through association - your acting teacher is brilliant and exclusive? Oops, sorry.
I know that her nickname is Jules. I knew who you were referring to. It's just obnoxious that someone calls someone that. Kind of like Cheno.

I wonder if Quinnie will win for WALK THE LINE.
There's always Mick for SIN CITY.

Julianne Moore deserved the Oscar for "The Hours."
Nicole should have won for "Moulin Rouge!" and I feel she won for "The Hours" because the Academy knew they made a mistake the year before.
#23re: Freedomland
Posted: 12/8/05 at 5:25pmShe deserved it more for Far From Heaven I think. And Nicole shouldn't have been nominated for Moulin Rouge, she should have been nominated for The Others.
