It loathes me to give any attention to him, but this is exactly the kind of talk that would have generated cries of treason and anti-Americanism from the right if it had been done during the Bush years. On the forum on his website, there is a poll asking whether folks would prefer a military coup, an armed rebellion, or a war for secession. Since it's been there for over four days, someone there should have removed the thread. Not removing it can be construed a implicit approval.

War for secession! War for secession! Let Jesusland be Jesusland.
is that better or worse than
gay seccesion?
Worse.

It's exactly the same. I was never in favor of gay secessions, unless I got to pick the gays who got sent to their very own state. (Yes, Andrew Sullivan would be their queen.)
Papa...are you HONESTLY comparing Sean Hannity to Jamie McGonnigal?
also, mb, unless centerscroll is hannity your thread title is misleading at best and libelous at worst.
Hannity didn't write this poll. It's some anonymous person on his message board.
ETA: papa beat me to it.
...
It's been on his website for over four days. Using your method of association, he owns it.
wow, i would have expected this from some others. sigh.

papa, on the overriding principle, I agree with you.
However, Hannity's main schtick is the guilt-by-association charge. He's always bringing people on the show and asking them to denounce whatever liberal boogeyman-du-jour is the top of the scroll on Fox News (Ward Churchill, etc.) or denounce the Huffington Post or DailyKos because of out-of-line statements in the comment section.
So the fact that he or whoever is in charge of his Web site didn't just delete it is rather hypocritical on that front.
eh, i don't watch or listen to him, so i wouldn't know what he does.
and mb, whew.
I don't either, papa! At one of my old jobs, a coworker used to listen to his radio show all the time.
He had a similar take after the Coulter faggot statement. His statement was something like "Nobody is responsible for Ann's words except for Ann." Which kind of contradicts his entire career.
