That wasn't the case when I taught. I was in what was considered the worst school system in the country (located in NJ). I taught there for 25 years. Because it was impoverished, ghetto, lowest scores in the country, we qualified as the most needy of government funds and we received them. There was no lack of materials, teaching aids, computers, other machines, specialized teachers, and whatever was necessary.
Anyway, back to the topic. I'd be interested to know the outcome of a study to determine whether single sex schools are beneficial to learning or not.
